It's a Miracle....I'm Blogging!

I'm sitting here looking at my blog, wondering how in the world it has been six months since I've done this. It has been a long, crazy, wonderful (in a nightmare-ish, weird sort of way), gone in a blink of an eye six months. October and November were full of more doctor's appointments for me.....all to conclude that nobody knows what is wrong! :) I apparently make too many platelets, but no one can seem to figure out why. By November, I was DONE with doctors, and so for now, I am being monitored 4 times a year by my hematologist, and we'll just wait and see if anything else shows up. Easy enough!!

The first week of January, we placed a contract on a house......FINALLY! We had been looking for a year and a half....praying that when it was the right house, and the right time, God would let us know. Waiting is not my forte' as many of you know, so a year of waiting.....for my health issues AND for a house.....well, let's just say, there were days that it was not pretty. But, through it all, God was so faithful and He gave us the promise that He was getting us ready for SOMETHING. At the time, the picture of the something was a little fuzzy....all we really knew was that He was preparing us. That was even how the idea of this blog was born...."For Such A Time As This".......we were waiting for Him to make the picture clearer in His time. So, we placed the contract, it was accepted, and then we waited AGAIN! :) Ten weeks later, we finally closed! Woohooooo! We've been in for about 6 weeks, and it is definitely starting to feel like home. We're having our first company (Michael's parents) at the end of the week, so we've been busy painting and unpacking. Now that we're here the picture of what God is doing is becoming clearer and clearer. We definitely feel like He has called us and that He has provided this amazing home for a reason. We are praying, and following in the way that He is leading. We would love to keep you updated on our journey (through this blog and also on Facebook)....we'll let you know when details are coming together. For now, we just wanted to let you know that we are home and we believe that it is definitely For Such A Time As This!
